The Venosta Valley is fantastic for a bike tour during your stay! The region offers a variety of cycle paths for all levels of difficulty, from relaxed tours along the Adige cycle path to challenging mountain bike trails in the surrounding mountains. The variety of landscapes and well-developed cycle paths make the Venosta Valley a paradise for cyclists. Would you like to visit the spa town of Merano? No problem! You start from our hotel and the cycle path takes you to the town.

In addition to the normal cycle paths, such as the Adige Cycle Path, the Upper Venosta Valley vacation region with its rugged, scenic contrasts also offers numerous cycle tours and trails for the more demanding biker.

Well-marked trails of all levels of difficulty run along the valley. Through forests and meadows, but also up into the high mountains, past the most beautiful alpine pastures. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced hiker, there is something for everyone.

Another highlight are the impressive distant views of the surrounding mountain panorama, which you will experience during the cycle tours in the mountains. Whether alone or in a group, the routes are uniformly signposted and recorded by GPS and can usually be ridden continuously from the beginning of March to the end of November thanks to the Upper Venosta Valley microclimate.

Paragliding in Val Venosta/Vinschgau is an exciting way to experience the breathtaking landscape from a bird’s eye view! The region offers ideal conditions for paragliders, with great launch sites in the surrounding mountains and impressive views of the Alps. There are also various flying schools and providers offering courses and tandem flights for all levels of experience.

The take-off site at Watles is particularly popular in the Upper Venosta Valley, where you can enjoy the vastness of the Upper Venosta Valley basin during your flight. 360° panoramic view of the mountains of the Ortler group, the Sesvenna group and the Ötztal Alps.

Kitesurfing

Kitesurfing at Lake Reschen is a great experience that sports enthusiasts should definitely try! This trend sport is a mixture of surfing and windsurfing. Lake Reschen offers ideal conditions for kitesurfing, with constant wind and water conditions and a picturesque backdrop. The region around the Reschen Pass is very popular with kitesurfers and is one of the hot spots in Europe.

There are several schools and rental stations that offer equipment and lessons for beginners and advanced surfers. One of these is the “Caramba Kiteschool”, which is run by young, motivated kite enthusiasts.
